. . . they have been blown way out of proportion . . . just like what the chosen one did with respect to Coach Deggs last year . . . I’m sorry but we don’t lose a measure in the quality of defense with Carson as opposed to Max in centerfield . . . it is just not so . . . and that difference is certainly not sufficient to an extent where a casual fan should be making a big stink over it . . . in fact, all should be overjoyed that we have 2 athletes of that caliber to chose from and that Coach Deggs has options . . .

Either Big Poppa misspelled Marusak in his first post or Cajun Vic edited it in his response. No big deal, just Cajun Vic being useless again.

and you boiled it down to that . . . Disappointing . . . the only point the spelling shows is that if you can’t get the athlete’s name correct, it certainly sheds light on the credibility of your point . . . and to go back and correct it and pretend like it has always been there sheds even more light on the lack of credibility of the poster, now a liar . . .

There is a reason why when both were healthy Max played center and Carson a corner spot. I am not by any means saying Rock is a bad player. He just doesn’t have the God given speed and ability to cover as much ground as Marsuak does. Anyone who paid attention to last years team can tell you that.
    Who is Marsuak? . . . try harder . . . see you opening day . . .

But I personally agree with what Big Poppa was saying. Max is a better option at CF. That is not a dig on Rocco whatsoever.

All I’m saying is that it’s ok to have that opinion. No need call someone out over it. My 2¢.

    Thank you.

Looking at his team, if Max was a better option at CF Deggs would be playing him there . . . but he is not . . . so, I’m going with the choices the coach has made . . . how hard is that to understand . . . and anyone who saw a dig on any of this really has no clue . . .

Who are the early leaders at first and third if you had to predict a lineup today Jay?
Peyton Lejeune and John (JT) Taylor are fighting it out at 3rd base. Both homered yesterday in the intersquad. I don't know if we have a favorite there.

Trey Lafleur, Mason Zambo and CJ Willis are all working at first base and I don't know who has the edge. I can tell you Zambo has improved a lot. Sucks that all three are left handed hitters.

Two freshmen, Caleb Stelly and Luke Yuhasz are both good hitters and will push for playing time.

And, that's what I was trying to say earlier about depth. I think you're going to see a lot of guys play and all may start from time to time.

If Zambo is fighting two people for playing time at the same position, I see him as ending up being the odd man out . . . and I just can’t see there being a reduction in quality of performance at any position Rock is playing . . .

The thing about baseball is that at most positions you usually get only a few opportunities to actually make plays in a 9 inning game. Of course the infield is much more active. We also know that karma will find you if you got a weakness.

    Rock is far from a weakness . . .

Both Taylor and Lejeune looked really good at the plate. Taylor had great presence and appeared very confident in the box. He did misplay a hard hit ball at short stop.
