Make the Cajun Chicken the Official Mascot!

Can any spirit leader, or mascot not take time away from the band and cheerleaders, who by the way no longer see themselves as support but separate unique athletes.

That genie came out the bottle long ago, band, cheer and dance grew in notability due to athletics. Now, even in high school, it’s about me, not we. Good point.

No. No. A thousand times no about making the chicken the official mascot.

The man inside the suit is eligible for Medicare. And, it's the man inside the suit that makes things happen, not the suit itself. If you want the man inside the suit to die before his time, by all means have at it.

Yes, we need a mascot. And, no, I don't have the answer as to what is best.

But it doesn't need to be a chicken.

Whatever the mascot winds up being, it will be the man (or woman) inside the suit that will make it thrive or fail.

Oh, and we do NOT need a live mascot.
