But it gives only the total for the station, apparently, in all time slots. I suspect their 0.9 rating for last fall is a boost from LSU football. (The 0.9 rating is nothing to right home about either) I would like to see what their ratings are for LSU football games. I would suspect they are much better than for the Cajuns. If that's the case, then I would think that, from a business standpoint, the broadcast of Cajuns games just doesn't make sense. I tell some in my family that the game is on the radio and they tell me to keep them updated on the score because they don't like listening to any sports on the radio. Which begs the age old question _jf a tree falls in the forest does it make a noise if nobody is there to hear it.

I suspect that UL will go to streaming sooner rather than later because of two reasons 1 the ratings aren't there and 2 terrestrial radio is fading away. Every radio station has an app that you can listen to anywhere there is a cell, wifi or wired internet connection. No more week signals, weather problems or frequency issues. Terrestrial radio is going the way of land telephone lines, CD'S, DVD'S and paper newspapers.
I took a look, nothing much to report as far as LSU games or for that matter UL games on radio. I don't have access to those deep dive numbers. I did add a qualifier to my search, one LSU Football Radio and the other UL Football listener, nothing of note came up. Doesn't mean no one listens as much as it means I don't have the ability to do that deep of a dive...

I understand. I guess as long as they can sell ad time then they are good. If I was buying ad time I would want some hard numbers on the number of ears I would be reaching.

And they might have that...normally, local sports are purchased as a emotional buy. I can say that most of both stations advertisers are also purchasing time on the other stations offered, using Sports Talk as added inventory to squeeze that average rate down. I doudt much of anyone of significance is buying just The Goat or KLWG. You'll have a few, but in the grand scheme of things, its not many.

Right but I was talking about buying ad time for football, mens and womens basketball, softball and baseball broadcasts on the radio.

Scott wouldn't tell BWK where he was headed....I'm going to guess, just based on what little I know of the guys background, I'm thinking he's headed to the UL Athletic Dept. Someone posted a job a few months ago, I recall, it was a bunch of media duties, I just wonder....If so, then that's a great hire!
