This will sound like an impossible concept depending on when you grew up.
    You don’t say!?

You're almost in the "who cares" zone with these numbers....
wow, thanks! how do they know the age?
also a question i have long wondered, if i have radios on in multiple rooms at same time does that still count as one listener or do all count? for ex. doing chores and keep going back and forth between rooms upstairs and downstairs but keep listening

But it gives only the total for the station, apparently, in all time slots. I suspect their 0.9 rating for last fall is a boost from LSU football. (The 0.9 rating is nothing to right home about either) I would like to see what their ratings are for LSU football games. I would suspect they are much better than for the Cajuns. If that's the case, then I would think that, from a business standpoint, the broadcast of Cajuns games just doesn't make sense. I tell some in my family that the game is on the radio and they tell me to keep them updated on the score because they don't like listening to any sports on the radio. Which begs the age old question _jf a tree falls in the forest does it make a noise if nobody is there to hear it.

I suspect that UL will go to streaming sooner rather than later because of two reasons 1 the ratings aren't there and 2 terrestrial radio is fading away. Every radio station has an app that you can listen to anywhere there is a cell, wifi or wired internet connection. No more week signals, weather problems or frequency issues. Terrestrial radio is going the way of land telephone lines, CD'S, DVD'S and paper newspapers.
I'll take a look, but remember, these numbers are all averages based on day and time, Saturday 3 -7 is an average of all sat. 3 to 7p during the sweeps period...TV, on the other hand, gives you a program average...which is easier to take in a deep numbers dive...

audio is better if you are doing other things, thought he said that. also “radio” broadcasters paint better pictures of the game and actually tell you what is happening, while “tv” broadcasters tend to spend too much talking about other things (i.e. when the next SEC big game is on) and you still have to watch to figure out what happened

I'm trying to keep this simple, give Nielsen a call with your question....

When Learfield and 1420 part ways, 1420 will be a footnote much like 1330. And Pluto…we know it’s out there, it’s small, and nobody cares.

I don’t know about Lafayette but I have zero problems to get newspapers for the crawfish boils. Plenty of free newsprint in NOLA market.
