Did he say what his next move is? Out of radio completely?

I wonder if my suggestion didn't come first, because I'm pretty sure it was 18 years ago, 2005 that Scott was given his own show on KPEL. Pre Katrina.

The link says the G-Man Think Tank was after Katrina.
I traveled NOLA in a sales territory in 2003 - 2012 and heard Garland then. He could have been on a smaller station and moved later. I just know the very first time I heard Scott with his “Think Tank” my thoughts were he copied Garland.

Scott is from Lafayette, Opelousas if I’m not mistaken early on, but I know what you mean. He did move back home from working in NOLA.

Correct. Just talking career wise. He started in NO after going to Loyola.

He, never presented it as "his" think tank, it was the Sports Callers Think Tank it was Open to sports callers.

And, Scott couldn't have copied it because it was my suggeztion and to this day have never heard the G-Man.

Maybe so. I just know Garland used the same exact tag line way before Scott when you listened to his show. The only difference is it wasn’t Sports. It was the great Callers Open Think Tank. The first time I heard Scott my immediate thought was he copied Garland.

Is possible Scott worked in that market before coming here and never heard Garland say that? I guess. Is likely he had never heard Garland us that line? I highly doubt it.

Garland used it first and I will always believe it was copy from that show. It’s just to coincidental to not be.

Wish Scott the best of luck. 1420 is now officially dead to me. ......unless a Cajun game is on. I assume that will die away soon also.
Good Morning... this be Bil(ly).. I still around.. Show starts @ 8 Saturday mornings & ends @ 10.. always have enjoyed everyone's criticism of me..

Now you are asking why the station has been on a downard trajectory for sometime now.

Callers were the backbone of its success. Then you had Stevie P who just wanted to hear himself talk and Jay who only wanted callers who agreed with him etc etc.

After early rocket to the moon success the station turned inward and you end up where it is now.

I've never heard him but after extensive search I can't find a single reference besides your adjustment this morning where he ever used "Callers Think Tank"

Every reference says "The Think Tank" and every reference says his personal regular show started after Katrina.

This is true. Especially concerning Stevie. Jay was combative if you didn’t agree with him but I found that entertaining. I do love Bil(Ly). He and I are the same age(old). I’ll listen to him on Saturdays but for the most part I will tune into the LSUAM network when I hear them them throw us a bone or listen to Kevin. For me Kevin has replaced Jay for solid sports coverage. Otherwise it’s the 60s and 70s music on SXM radio

I actually always enjoyed your show Billy. Just not usually driving at that time. Glad to hear you are still around.
