Boring. LOL. Another conference championship and preseason #1. Is that 25 in a row?

So does anyone really believe we only have six players on the all-conference team?

Interesting that Sam Landry was 2-0 against Jessica Mullins and 1-0 against Olivia Lackie, yet both of those are pre-season all conference and she is not.

That's a great point. She was a freshman last year, so that may have figured into the voting. But, there is also the sentiment that we have too many players on the all conference team and those 2 pitchers were very good. Don't know how their conference stats compare to Sam's....but hoping this provides a little extra motivation for her this season!

Just as a biased observer I think Landry is great. IMO she did seem to come undone a bit if something bad happened, error, big hit, whatever. I think she was overcoming that as she matured in the season. Looking forward to big things for her this year.

She pretty much overcame it last year. She was 20-3 and did not do that with smoke and mirrors.

Her ERA was 2.15 and her WHIP was 1.08

Her winning Percentage of .870 ranked behind only 2 pitchers for Oklahoma, 1 for Florida State, 1 for UCF and 1 for UCLA.

Nice job on the stats. You think Sam was good last year? Wait till this year. She has improved. One reason Jessica was picked is because she will throw more than twice as many innings as Sam will. Therefore she will have nothing left in the tank at the end of the season. Sam's arm will be rested.
