66 - 58 Final Lady Cajuns win
They gotta come up with something better than this system if they continue free women’s basketball next year.
The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Basketball team's shooting was on point in crunch time on Thursday, February 2 lifting the team to a 66-58 win over ULM at the Cajundome.
Let’s see if we can get revenge on Troy from earlier this season and get to the top of the SBC standings. Women are going on a streak themselves. Geaux Cajuns!
Women are doing it without their leading scorer Lanay Wheaton. Last Saturday I noticed she was in a boot. As solid as this team has been playing the competition is about to get tougher down the stretch for the ladies. They have to face Troy next who is #1 in the conference, then JMU who is #2 in the conference, the good news is after those two games they get USA, Arkansas State and ULM that are #12, #13 and #14 in the conference respectively. Then they finish with Texas State and USM who are both 7-4 and sitting in a tie for 4th in the conference. The reality is, just like the men, the women have the 2 toughest games of the season back to back and could really decide where they finish based on these two games.
The ladies are 14-9 and 8-3 in the conference and have played the last two games without Lanay Wheaton and won. This team could have been really special had we had Brandi Williams available this year.
A double streak has been extremely rare in the history of this school.
I can't recall any this substantial.
