The 2021 SBC Championship Game we hosted in Lafayette was the day before the annual Christmas parade.
AT A MINIMUM, this team should have been honored during that parade. They should have had a reserved spot in the parade before hand.
It's like we forget who we are and what we do well when it comes to UL Athletics. There is nothing more Cajun than a parade to celebrate something or someone. Per 71, there is nothing ragin or Cajun about athletics. And until that changes, the crowds will continue to be sparse and the local support will continue to be invisible.
. . . if only we would have had a parade . . . and a banner . . . and a bell ringing . . .and a different head coach . . . and some additional parking at Cajun Field . . . and cheaper tailgating . . . and better concessions . . . and shorter concession lines . . . and a better schedule . . . and started on CF renovations . . . OUR ATTENDANCE WOULD BE SKYROCKETING . . .

Have y'all ever seen an internet troll FOR an admin? So bizzarre.
There are many things that the admin has done over the years that make people believe they either don't care or are outright trying to stunt growth.
This refusal to acknowledge the 2021 championship and the 2 Top 15 final rankings properly ranks right up there with worst.
From what I understand, there's plans to have some sort of championship recognition in the new stadium. Whether it's a banner, mural, or flag is yet to be determined.
If all they did was recognize the SBC champ, it would definitely be ridiculous. What they need to do is take the opportunity of a "new" stadium to unveil banners or whatever recognizing ALL of the major accomplishments of the past like Conference Championships, National Rankings and Bowl victories. Do it on Fan day. Unveil them one by one. Invite VIPs from those teams, etc. etc.
You forgot Louisiana Saturday Nights, because just like the rest of the administration, you are not taking notes.
Back to your main point.
Not in a single season or even two but I guarantee you if the "sentiment" you mention were S.O.P. (years and years) fans would be traveling from all over the State every Saturday and filling The Swamp.
