Why does CMD apparently have an issue using the transfer portal to bring players in?

Just saying that he has an issue using the portal opens up a huge can of worms that is not really there. He will use portal when and if he deems it appropriate. Cautious engagement.

I’m the opposite. I liked the CMD hire and hope he’s here forever. The Brad Boyd talk makes no sense to me right now. He’s not even currently on a college staff. Mike has been UL since he left high school. He’s the perfect guy to win here and stay here.

Where did Jerry Steakhouse, Deon Sanders, Juwan Howard, Penny Hardaway etc coach collegiately before they became house hold names as Head Coaches in D1 athletics?

Part of the gator collective allegedly is holding money back, not happy how season ended.

I tried to get an understanding of collective contracts. Seems kind of opaque from the brief readings I’ve been able to find.

A lot of bragging without substance.

Florida Collective had a 13 million dollar agreement with a high school quarterback.

And there is where the non P5 will get squeezed. Not as many deep pockets, donors must pick between the university or the collective.

Easy to see this impacting capital projects.
