Louisiana Golf Adds Three To 2023-24 Class

Baseball will be playing something called High Point on that weekend. Looks like i'll be listening on the radio, getting in a few rounds and then out to OCC to enjoy the classics. Several top 20 programs again this year.

Yeah, that Sat/Sun will probably be my ticket give-away weekend. I'm keeping Friday night, LOL.

I know you are making a joke but High Point University is one of the most beautiful campuses in America, no joke.

The place is amazing, in 2012 they spent 700 million in investments to renovate the campus. The purchased an entire mall in High Point, NC (this is a suburb of Greensboro, NC).

They are a member of the Big South Conference which also has UNC Asheville, Radford, Longwood, Campbell, Charleston Southern, Wintrop, Gardner Webb, USC-Upstate and Presbyterian College.

This is traditionally a pretty good baseball conference, even though High Point is not great. Campbell won the conference last year and made the NCAA as a 3 seed, beating GT in game one, but losing to Tennessee and GT after that.

The athletic facilities at HPU are things we would be lucky to have (for the most part). Football is building a new stadium where the mall used to be, they don't play football at the moment but talk of it starting up is gaining ground.

I will gladly take anyone's tickets for baseball for that weekend if you are looking to give them away, I might have some friends from the triad/piedmont area interested.

High Point is also the "Furniture Captial of the World"....I lived near High Point several years in the early 80's...its an armpit of a town...

Oh, the town is a ____hole for sure, but you should see the campus now. It is amazing. The place is absolutely gorgeous. My daughter went to 2 camps there a Lacrosse Camp and a Science Camp. It's crazy the money they have put in that school.
