When dozens of applications come in from joe-blow fans, that should be a good indication of how poorly we all think that communications is being done.

Let these people see a MAT scorched earth post, and his resume is gonna go missing. Compare a Dave breakdown with any communication you've ever seen out of UL. These people get one glimpse at how informative he is, that resume is going straight in the trash.

I do ask if someone from RP gets the job: please ask for time to think about it. Then say, "I will let you know my decision NO SOONER than [insert date]."

Considering we have folks on staff now who we aren't even sure are doing the "work" part of "remote work" I think you would be just fine shof.

You may enter the portal but only if you ask people to respect your decision when you do so.

What’s the deadline? Our last nationwide search and interviews took a whole week.

That’s a real concern in today’s workplace. Lots of people skating with remote work. I spent my last 2 years of work done about 80% from home. Found myself working significantly longer hours. Wake up, get coffee, work! Saved 2 hours of commute time but easily spent those in the office. Looked forward to my days in the office. Hard to keep your “fingers on the pulse” when you’re not there. That said I’m glad to be 100% retired ….. except the home boss is keeping me quite busy!! LOL
