Their trip to San Diego State is the only other game cut.

No, you don't want to play a designated cross division rival, or you would rather the conference push to force a rival like Georgia St or Georgia Southern?

The way we’re doing it we play every member of the East 1 1/7 time in four years. The players get to have that experience if they stay with their original team. The fans get to visit and host every team in a 7 year cycle. That can’t happen in an 8 game conference series with designated rivals.

    2019- Georgia Southern
    2020- Georgia State, Georgia Southern
    2021- Georgia State, Georgia Southern
    2022- Georgia Southern

How's that working out for you the last 4 years. It seems to me the conference has decided we will one of the Georgia programs yearly. I'm not a fan, simply designate the best rivalry for each team, and rotate all other Eastern Members.

Having 7 teams in each division changes everything. We seem to be moving from the most southern and most northern towards the center. If that’s true it would be JMU and Covid Chickens in 24 season. Time will tell.

Oh, 2023- Georgia State. That will be 5 consecutive years UL is playing a Georgia program. Looks like a pattern to me. I'm just saying.

We’ll know in 24 if it’s a Georgia team again. Also I think perhaps they want to make sure that the new members are part of a split between new and old.

There is no guarantee that one of those wouldn’t be your permanent cross division opponent.I would imagine you wouldn’t have your choice.
