Once Troy beat coastal in the CC the east and west had the same conference records. So the east is t any better than the west.

I'm not suggesting they are, but that's not the discussion. Since we have 2 crossover games on the schedule per season, would you want both random or the SBC's definition of random, or would you like to see 1 designated and the other random? If so, which program would you prefer to play yearly.
I’d prefer random just to see more teams on the home schedule. Plus like was stated any team in the east could be good or bad any year really. And no one in the east is going to travel well to Lafayette.
If we played example app state every year and rotated the other 6. We would have say Marshall at home every 12 years?? As opposed to every 7??
I know the league keeps changing and it’s effecting scheduling rotation, but before this year didn’t we play all but 2 school each year? Now it will be 5. It would be nice if the conference could stand pat and we could get a rotation with the east that everyone would know years ahead. Like a formula not random.
It should never be random, but a planned sequence. Playing everyone in the East guarantees hosting & travel to everyone twice every 7 years.
We’re not guaranteed a rival of choice. For example USM would love MU as their rival of choice. Everyone would be happy with someone that may not be happy with them.
Might take adding a 9th conference game to get fixed opposite division rival. Drop the FCS scheduling and do it.
I would like it if the sbc gave all the teams a time limit, say a month, to reach agreements with their two crossover games. That gives all the teams a chance to determine their best games. Whomever doesn't reach an agreement within the month is then scheduled by the sbc. JMO; seems very fair to all.
T, because you used the SEC to demonstrate your theory, some here will never ever buy in . . . it’s one of the reasons Louisiana can’t ever have something nice here. . . for the record, you do propose something nice here . . .
