What was a 2022 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns highlight for you? A moment, a realization, an achievement.
Something good, athletics, academics or something else.

My top 10
1. Baseball....winning SBC tournament + Taking gm1 at regional.
2. Waterski team winning another Natty
3-10. Not much else. Some good moments in softball and
a run to conf finals in basketball but nothing out of normal or from the expected.
R-1 status. True, 100% undeniable separation. Although not athletics, it does change how others view our university and its representatives, like sports teams.
Waterski team, although not NCAA sanctioned, they FINALLY got local pub. RR, thanks for getting that ball rolling, then larger media picked it up. Usually any pub is good pub. It was nice to celebrate a championship…zinger intended.
Baseball, providing a UL team a NCAA bid when it probably looked to be a long shot at an at large. It was nice, for once, where UL was on the good side of “it comes down to the conference tournament” in any sport. It’s who was hot, and UL fit the role. In doing such, Deggs moved out of the shadow of Robe. Hopefully this stops the comparisons this season by some and let Deggs be Deggs.
Glimmers of hope in the other sports. I’ll leave a PxP of the softball season to someone else.
Baseball dog piling in Montgomery and making noise in the College Station Regional
R1 status
Softball making a late season run even with youth
Of course, Ragin Review continuing to grow (wink wink)
The national search and finding the best coach possible after a 13-1 conference championship football season.
Baseball winning the Sunbelt Tournament, and coming from folks who attended the College Station Regional to cheer for other teams there, they seemed to be almost the unanimous 2nd favorite team there of opposing fans.
R1. Crickets on Athletics.
My top 10
1. Achieving and being awarded R1 status
2. Baseball winning SBC tournament and gm1 at regional.
3. Waterski team winning another Natty and getting the exposure afforded by RR.
4. Watching young Glasco coached teams play (this year should be fun)
5. Watching board make a fool out of its most foolish sports poster (and it’s not BWK)
100% agree. Athletics can be such a boost to the name and recognition of a University. It shows commitment to the general public that otherwise would never hear about the University. It's a catalyst to attract better students, and faculty. We were on the right path. Of course I'm speculating, but I think Dr. Savoie's wife passing was somehow significant in his overall thinking of athletics. Hope we get back to making progress in 2023.
As we embark on a new year, I want to thank you for your continued support of Ragin' Cajuns Athletics and reflect on the many accomplishments this past year.
