If the parking lots were full then we wouldn’t be having this discussion. That’s the question how do you get them interested enough to park at Cajun field.

Don’t you know you have to be special to park at Cajun Field . . . where you been . . .

I have never claimed to be a member of Mensa. But can you name me one university that has sustained good crowds because of gimmicks going on in the stadium and not the game on the field? I don’t know of any. Your first line might be correct due to the apathy of our community and the horrible alumni this university produces, that lives in Acadiana and are TAF members with State season tickets.

Be honest you want to know the problem. Go look in a mirror and ask yourself how many games have you been to in the last 15 years. I will bet you haven’t gone to as many as I have missed.

Oh, so now we going to blame one fan we don’t even know for all our woes . . . you are really a smart one . . .

Every school that has a marching band or other traditions is filling a stadium based on a gimmick these days.

When they started 'monetizing' parking it changed the game day experience from a party in the parking lot to cocktails at the country club. It ruined it for me.

See, this is part of the problem. If you aren't willing to park for $10 inside the fences, there is a very, very good chance you have no intention of going into the game.

Not true. People aren’t going for the marching band. Have a band recital on Saturday with no game and see how many people show up.

We get more people for HS battle of the bands than we do for football games at Cajun Field.

I understand your point though. It's not JUST football. And it's not JUST the gimmicks. And it's not JUST the in-game atmosphere... It's all of it. You need a symbiotic relationship between all of the above. Including good opponents in a conference that matters.

I'll keep saying it: SHARED ENERGY
