    Joking, but also not joking.
I had a cardiac arrythmia and first thing the ER doc asked when they realized I was telling the truth that I wasn't doing drugs (from lab results) was if I drank energy drinks. Yea, with vodka.

"Are you stupid? Don't do that."

Truth is, there's so many variables in play in the modern world who knows. My grandfather also had an arrythmia, so could be genetic. Energy drinks could have contributed. A random virus could have caused it (pre-COVID).

I have friends that have been taking legal meth (adderall) for years, I'm sure that isn't good for cardiac health in the long run either.

CajunsHat, correct me if I'm wrong. I served as an active-duty hospital corpsman in the Navy and spent a year as a critical care assistant in the icu at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, Ca.
Hat tip to you, Sir. And thanks to CajunsHat for the information yesterday.

Lungs were never the big concern dude. For the lungs to be the lead healing story is like breaking news saying something is anticipated to begin no earlier than.

I would assume blood flooded the lungs during CPR on the field. Definitely an area of major concern.

I'm not about to argue a common sense topic with someone looking for an angle. You're a dip____ if you didn't know he likely had lung damage after the event and the subsequent CPR. It's the furthest thing from breaking news.

Everybody under the sun knows this. Minus a lung desease his lungs would heal if intubated or on ventalator.THATS NOT THE STORY his heart is the story.

I just have a hard time seeing how this wouldn't occur more often than it does, although I'm glad it doesn't.
