Starters aren't working while they wait in season.

Yeah actually it’s called practice, workouts, getting there early, staying late, watching extra film. Working while you wait is not strictly for bench players. If an entire team buys in and works while they wait, you will do something special. Everyone’s wait is different. Could be you are a role player, could be your starting pitcher waiting for his next start, could be a starter coming back from injury. If it was only bench players it wouldn’t be very relevant bc most guys on the bench simply just don’t get enough opportunities.
