Maybe a lack of talent and coaching?

Maybe the later. Although the unit was much better latter in the season.

Top 4 reasons we didn’t win more than 6 games. We played most of the year with our 2nd string OL.

    Was it a disappointing season…absolutely!
Also had Harrington and Rubio missed games. Context matters when saying people are making excuses.

It is hard to coach players that are not there . . .

You can’t have kids spread throughout Lafayette during that time and expect them all to be doing the right thing. I am curious to see how that is handled next year.
Billy Napier or Hudspeth weren't keeping upper classmen in the dorms. Ask Levi Lewis and Ken Marks where they lived during and after the season.

Not sure why you are making this point here? No one ever said anything about where players live during a semester. We talking about training camp. And yes both Billy and Mark brought them all to one dorm under one roof to be closely monitored and make sure they do nothing but eat, drink, and sleep football for those days. Discipline and structure in everything you do. No outside distractions. Hud even had them all travel to and fro the athletic complex together via transit buses. I would venture to say that since the abolishment of the athletic dorm 99% of FBS coaches do that during camp.

    100% is a lot of percent . . .
