Last year, UNC lost 3 conference games by 20,22 and 28 points. Some of those at home. They played for a national title. Now I understand they can hardly be compared to the cajuns but you can take a tough loss and get your stuff together. I think Texas was a really tough matchup for us. Having said that, I still think the OP's notion that we are a sweet sixteen team is laughable but we'll visit that another day.

Bobby coached teams are not the UNC of the SBC. Let’s make that clear from jump street.

And I thought I did. I know I sometimes have to really speak direct for some here. If that's what you pulled from the post then you could go back and read it again. The point made by one poster was that nobody who loses by 30 should be considered a serious post season team. I made just one example to show that is not accurate. However, we will know in the next week + if this team is because we start with a tough stretch and may play ourselves out of contention in that time frame.

Well Bob did give himself the equivalent of UNC of the SBC around media day. Said the Cajuns were like UNC in that both returned lots of important players. He somehow wanted the stage to show both teams In equivalent positions. There’s probably a few teams in similar position, but he chose a team we’re nothing like in history or quality

We are the the standard of the conference, we get everybody's best shot....

I find it funny that every time we lose a game, it's because the other team played their best game of the year. It's never because we weren't as good. It's always the other team that just played to the next level because we are now Cajun Gonzaga.

So, did anybody listen to the postgame last night to see if he confirmed our expectations? lol

He blamed his players for not playing well enough, especially defensive effort.

Did he mention how his players killed a scoring run by calling a timeout?

Those time outs are part and parcel Big Fish philosophy. Don’t know if it’s true, but Bob thinks it’s a perfect time to let the other coach chew out their team for the failures. Doesn’t seem to to actually work. Ellis is ten times the coach that Marlin is.
