I do and have been there. His error at the time was magnified big time and I believe changed the course of the game. Just My View. Big Time Players also show up in Big Time Games. He didn't show up at the show down. Time to move forward to the off season and work on getting better. We will be with most of this staff for at least a few more years.
Like all year. 4th game lost by one score where we pretty much gave it to them. 2 fumbles and stupid penalties in key situations. Lowest point total Houston scored all year I believe and still couldn’t get it done. That game was the whole season in a few quarters in the second half. Props to the defense for keeping us in it.
The low snaps were killing the exchange and I believe caused at least one fumble.
It was cold as hell. Moving on. Always next year!
I think this is closer to the truth than placing the loss squarely on his shoulders. That moment is absolutely magnified because of the timing in the game. For example, Bishop dropped a maybe pick 6 on Houston’s lone TD drive in the first half. That moment will largely be forgotten despite it being a potential 13 point swing. Smith’s fumbles absolutely changed the course of the game. That just doesn’t make him solely responsible for the final result.
This one hurts.
The Cajuns need to stop the trash talking.
