I'm ready! I always wind up at Jersey Mike's when I find myself in the hellhole 45 miles east.

I usually tip a buck in the Subway situation. Same with CajunDome workers, etc. Not always but for the most part. I will admit a big part of it is I just find the whole thing awkward. That's just me though.

Sorta related to this topic. Picked up Roadhouse last night. I usually tip $2-$3 on To-Go-Orders because the employee is bagging it and making sure everything on the ticket is included. As she is handing me the bag, the girl says, "feel free to check and make sure everything is in there." No biggie but the "isn't that what I'm tipping you for?" thought definitely rattled around in my head.

Do you get tipped back when you find out the order isn't correct?

i guess cant blame individual worker (or can you?) but seems ever since that new chicken sandwich came out they seem to be out of it at least 50 pct of time…. granted i domt go often, or are they just not serving me?

…….lSo now they charge an extra 3-4 percent to use your credit card……and yes they then want a tip….some bills actually have the % figured out for the tip…..what about the tip jar at the Dome for basketball games……then I think of my first gig at 8 years old tying up Christmas trees at our lot….l had a lil sign on my hat…..”I work on tips only”…..just don’t forget your 10% at mass!

If everyone gave the church 10% then everyone would be broke.

Talking about ridiculous charges, I wanted to pay property taxes online with Lafayette Parish and at checkout they want
    $30 for convenience. What? No.

Tipping has gotten out of control. Tipping for hairstylists, Uber/Lyft drivers, coffee shops, and many others. Furthermore, many businesses kindly give you the option of choosing a pre-populated tip of 18, 20, or 22% when paying with a debit/credit card, while also charging you 4% to use said debit/credit card. If I walk into a coffee shop and order coffee and I get the coffee I ordered, what am I tipping for? The business transaction is complete. This is where tipping has gotten out of hand. Individuals delivering basic business transactions expect a tip for doing what is expected as part of the fee associated with the business transaction.
