Maybe if they were tipped better, the product and service would be better. Not a chance with some of the cheap posters on this board . . .
We are not wealthy people, but yeah, Not only might we leave a buck in the tip jar, we also round up to the dollar to contribute to the establishments scholarship fund.
Hell, 45,000 people gave Donald Trump $100 a piece for a digital playing card.
He sold out in one day and made $4.5 million
I guess we’re all suckers
I always tip at Subway. They are standing there all day having to deal with people trying to be comedians.
The same person (or two) takes the order, makes the order, packages the order, delivers the order.
Just because they don't have to walk it to your table is not enough reason not to tip.

I personally think it is wrong for “sandwich artists” to expect a tip at Subway. It’s a counter-service restaurant, meaning that you pay for your food before you get the opportunity to taste it. Nobody brings it to your table. Furthermore, Subway offers a made-to-order sandwich to all of its guests. You are not asking for some extra or additional service by getting what you want on the sub. Unlimited toppings and sauces - to the practical limit of what can fit on the sandwich. If you want extra meat or extra cheese, you pay a premium. If you don’t want the cheese which is included, you don’t get a rebate. Toasted or untoasted? Cut in two or three or four? Eat-in or to go? All of those options are included at no cost. So when your sandwich is prepared to order, exactly as advertised, why should you tip? This is the minimum expected.
