So what’s the proper protocol for a grocery store that doesn’t have any cart returns such as the Rouses across the street from Cajun Field?

bump. i wonder where these curbside pickup folks fall in to that category? why do they need the closest parking spot reserved for them if they arent getting out of the car and going inside?

Absolutely not but in Louisiana food establishments that accept tips are only required to pay workers $5.12 an hour.

    Be kind.

Don't be the person that doesn't know what wearing multiple hats means

At Subway the same person (or two) takes the order, makes the order, packages the order, delivers the order, collects on the order. for $5.12 an hour plus tips.

The only hat the Subway preparer doesn't wear is walking your meal out to your table.

Your totals are wrong. Subway is starting folks at $12 per hour.

It is $2.13 not $5.12 plus tips at restaurants, which I always tip handsomely. Fast food workers making $12 plus per hour and providing minimum level service will never get a tip from me.

but by offering the tip option and them requesting it, could their owner now lower them to the tip wage? (asked hypothetically, obviously not in this “shortstaffed environmemt”)

I must ask: what percentage do you leave on average that you consider handsomely?

It is none of your business, but since you asked. A third of the bill minimum, most of the time half or better.
