Herring bolting. I’m gonna guess he goes back home to Monroe.

Hate losing him, but I get it.

Right. Only thing bad is now you have 2 QBs taking all the snaps with 1, 2 and 3s in spring if the rumors I hear about Zy are true. That could be taxing. If Ben doesn’t recover in time for the season QB is awfully thin now. Maybe mike will rethink not bringing one in this year.

I predict he isn't the only QB casualty we'll see out of that room.

Ben is expecting to be the starting QB when the season starts.

    Correct. Read my above comment.

Ben obviously has the most on field experience. Ben has an ACL injury that no one can predict how his healing and rehab process will go. Not to mention the mental aspect of getting over that injury. At best he is shut down completely until August. It will be hard to get in an entire off season in, in just 4 weeks if he’s 100 percent by then.

Correct. Ben will not be the opening day starter. That is not even close to being the expectation coming off a major injury.

Agree. Given the times we struggled this fall @QB and if I, as a player, hadn’t seen the field at all this season in any capacity and been here more than a year, I’d leave.

Does Fields have a degree in hand yet, or will this spring?

Work while you wait! Most players are scared to do that, they don't want to compete, they don't play with their hair on fire and most of them just don't have that dog in them.
