Yeah it is funny. Nobody is expecting him to be the starter on opening day. I talked to one of the current staff coaches and he may be out until September.

He'll end up at ULM, so we'll probably see him again. Their starter, Chandler Rogers, is in the portal too.

Rogers is a talented kid and will end up somewhere with a chance to play. But this will be his 4th school. Out of HS he signed with Blinn, then enrolled at USM and now is at ULM and in the portal. His talents have been wasted at ULM, their was a really good chance if he had stayed at USM he could have been the starter.

Chandler impressed me for sure. He could have started here and would have provided another element on offense when we struggled to pass block.

Hunter's HS film sure showed a lot of promise...can see why we offered him. Hard to understand him leaving unless he's not fitting in or possibly some personal issues pulling him away. Best of luck to him wherever he ends up.
