Are you implying that herring didn’t have that dog in him?

Ben has the dog in him, he will wait while others work . . . then will take the field with the title of team captain bestowed upon him by his fellow players, with hair on fire and will rise again to the top of the pack to be the opening day starter . . . listen to the birdie . . .

There is no one with a crystal ball that can say that at this point. Not even his Doctors.

Does Fields have a degree in hand yet, or will this spring?
No. He will graduate in the fall.

Work while you wait! Most players are scared to do that, they don't want to compete. See Herring. If he felt he could compete and outwork the others and come out as the clear cut starter then he would stay. He just isn't good enough to be the starting QB or even the #4 QB.

He might have talked to my birdie and decided to take his dog to another kennel . . . like one posted earlier, if you didn’t see the field this year with Ben’s injury and the QB play we got, it probably may not be a bad idea to be looking . . .

Zeon has natural God given skills that can’t be coached or taught that Ben or Chandler will never have no matter how hard they work. If he learns the O and knows it as well as the rest the competition won’t be close.
