So people that are optimistic and supportive of the coaching staff are sunshine pumpers? The facts are that the four highest rated recruits in Ragin' Cajun history, per 247, were signed or committed to this coaching staff: Dubose, Edwards, Horne and Anderson. I understand your argument that the ratings depth may not be apparent, but the top end talent is better than has ever been committed.

Dubose and Edwards was last year.. We went from having the top recruiting classes in the SunBelt, to the bottom 3. This isn't brain surgery. It's taken a dive. If you can't see that, I guess you can call it what you want. Sunshine pumping. Head in the sand. Myopic. I don't know.

Dude, Napier left in December. (November 28th, to be exact) How is that Des' class??? And Fite has nothing to do with this. We are talking about where our classes were ranked over the last 4 years, as compared to where this one looks. If you don't think there's quite a drop off, there's really nothing left to say here.

Clearly we don’t do a good job with this major. Nobody in Lafayette knew when we played a home game, nobody in the stadium knew we were SBC champions in 2021, and nobody in Lafayette knows we’re playing a bowl game in Shreveport.

I feel like there has to be fake university/athletic twitter accounts out there purely for interacting with potential recruits to make it seem like a bunch of people are excited for them. Recent de-commit had a bunch of Twitter responses from the most generic looking Twitter accounts.

Just stick your head in the sand. That way you won't see the obvious. Then just repeat things like, "Robert Hunt was a project" as if the 10-12 unranked projects will magically become NFL players. Or "he just looks like a foot ball player and would rob you in a dark alley" or something like that. Everything is fine! Cue the sunshine!

Yeah, each staff has "that guy" who can recruit and secure top local talent. Can't identify this person on the current staff.

Bustle had Tim Rebowe. Tim is a great recruiter with deep Louisiana connections.

Hud had Coach Saunders as a recruiting ace. May not have agreed with the method, but the end result secured top tier talent.

Coach Napier had Coach Juluke as his recruiting ace. CJJ could walk into any South Louisiana or NOLA high school and no introduction was needed.

February is too late.The real signing day is now in December and kids enroll early.
