I’m sure that the money has exploded since the NIL. Players wouldn’t have fought so hard to get that money preyed away from the NCAA. Additionally there are tens of thousands of boosters who wouldn’t pay under the table that are willing to pay into apparently approved methods to compensate players. So while always existed it now exists in much greater numbers.
What's keeping a college athlete from having a NIL agent to negotiate on his/her behalf.
With NIL in SEC now going well over 1 million for 5 star recruits and proven transfers.....seems to me that the biggest loser in a few years at this pace will be the NFL. SEC is essentially morphing itself into the NFL. Without any salary caps or tax concerns as it's all done under the guise as non profit institutions....it would take less than 5 years to compete head to head vs NFL.
Zy Alexander is a DB at SLU, who is a special player and is in the portal. He is an FCS All American.
Gharin Stansbury is a DL at Arizona State that is in the portal as well.
They are both Louisiana kids, Alexander is from Loreauville, La.
Stansbury is from Franklin, La.
Alexander should have played at a FBS school right out of HS, he has been offered by a ton of teams including USC, Michigan State, Baylor and Miami as well as a ton of others.
