Their shredded roast beef poboy with a bowl of gumbo is where it’s at.

As for NOLA poboys….give me Parasol’s, Mother’s, and Parkway all day.

Yes sir! Glorified doughnut at Meche's, hard pass. To each their own, and average tourist doesn't know the difference.

They say there are two kinds of people in the world. An optimist and a pessimist. Well Poo-Poo says there is a third kind of person. A realist, and Chris special is the realist poy-boy around.

Pretty much sums it up. Meche’s is my favorite, but I don’t care for traditional king cakes that much. I pretty much just get to eat a donut and act like I’m in the holiday mood. I’ll leave it for those who like king cake to decide the best on that one.

I like Darrell's but Olde Tyme gets my vote
Meche's has good donuts, but it's Kellers for king cakes

LOL. No., thumbs up to no king cake. Too much sugar rush! Although, if there would be no negative affect, I eat the whole thing!

I’m fine not calling it king cake, but I’m just not seeing the “blah” in that description. Give me my steroid donut.

I'll still eat it. But I'm not going to eat it while calling it a king cake.

I 2nd this vote. Is Darrel's good? Yes, its a good po-boy but I'm definitely not going out of my way to get one. 5 min to Subway or 30 min to Darrel's, I'm going to Subway.
