Chris' Special isn't fit to shine the shoes of a Darrel's special. Of course I am on here getting food recs from a skinny dude worried about getting the meat sweats on Thanksgiving. Gotta take these opinions with a grain of salt.

Interesting you say stale. That’s my typical problem with most poboys that I’ve never had at Darrel’s. As to drenching it in gravy, hell yes. Give me WAP > DAP 8 days a week.

My brother in law lives in Kaplan. He said Vincent's has the best King Cakes. I have no clue as I don't eat any kind of King Cake.

Seafood restaurant. I'll be the first to admit: I really don't think LC has that good of a seafood place. My favorite fried fish was actually from the fried chicken joint I mentioned above. Steamboat Bill's is very mediocre. Was never impressed with Seafood Palace either, although their gumbo is good.

Will have to give Balls a shot next time I'm out there
