Also. Y'all get some ear muff or those Fargo looking hats. Anything to cover your ears. We never need them down here but if your outside for more than 30 minutes in sub freezing weather your ears will thank you.

I think we should get the old Eauque group together in Shreveport... we've endured far worse than 19 degree weather... like the Baldwin years, or sandblasting the stadium.

Any of you old timers recall a colder UL game than what is forecasted in Shreveport this Friday?

I have NIU 1991. According to weather data, the low was 17, high 30. There was 20-30 mph winds with 30-40 mph gusts. The dew point dropped to 7.

I was there at that game and it was the coldest one I can remember. It was miserable. I was at U(s)L from 88-93. Five year plan for me.

A bit of advice for whoever is going to this game. I wore a big bath robe the night of a white out game at UL in 09' & several people had fun making fun of my white robe. I had the last laugh though as it was very comfortable sitting on those aluminum bleachers as opposed to just having jeans, even with long johns underneath. Whatever you wear, bring a robe, throw blanket, or sleeping bag to sit on, or else you are going to freeze your ass off. Sitting on aluminum in sub freezing weather with a wind chill is no different than sitting in a deep freezer for four hours. Cover your hands, ears & feet well, or there is a very good chance of getting frost bite. I doubt anyone that attends this game will ever say anything bad about the New Orleans bowl ever again.

I’ll take NOLA bowl any day over this weather we are about to experience in Shreveport. It will be like sitting in a deep freezer. At least the beer will stay cold.

At least one UL/App game where the wind chill was in that neighborhood...but look, cold is only temporary, that warm glow of winning this game will last forever...you can bask in that warmth through this winter all the way to next September.

Good tips. Once your butt gets cold you are sunk. It's a big muscle mass that will take a lot of blood to get warm. Cover your head, ears and hands too.. I find insulated cover all's do a good job. I will be working Friday and just getting over the flu so I can't make it. So stay warm the best way you can.
