I am afraid the next president will be a plant by the folks to the east to put the death nail in us once and for all. They would love nothing more than to get rid of the thorn in their side that keeps fighting for research dollars.

I would think the ULS board sees the R-1 and isn’t about to give that up. Don’t want T-Joe to retire with DBE as governor, odds are higher we’d get some unmotivated lifer, much akin to a turnip.

The next president needs to be anyone who has the best interests of the families of Acadiana and Louisiana as the primary motivation and not the best interests of the elitist academics and politicians.

Higher Education in Louisiana and the rest of the country needs a reboot. We should be leading the charge.
