Jordan Brown scored a career-high 37 points and Themus Fulks posted his first double-double with 12 points and career-best 11 assists as the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns opened with a 20-4 run and never trailed in defeating Louisiana Christian, 98-63, on Monday at the Cajundome.

Greg Williams, Jr., and Kentrell Garnett scored 12 points each as Louisiana (9-1) shot a season-high 63 percent (37-for-59) from the floor while nearly hitting the 100-point mark for the third time this season.

Brown, who finished 16-for-21 from the floor, made his first five shots against LCU and scored 21 points in the first half. The 6-foot-11 junior joined Garnett, Terence Lewis II and Isaiah Richards pulled down a team-high six rebounds for Louisiana. The Ragin' Cajuns held the Wildcats to 12-for-41 (29 percent) from the floor in the second half and 1-for-15 from behind the 3-point line.

Louisiana built a 20-4 lead which was capped by Williams' dunk with 15:13 remaining in the first half. LCU would respond with a 21-5 run to knot the game at 25-25 as a putback by Ferontay Banks with 7:47 left in the half.

The Ragin' Cajuns countered the run by LCU with 24-10 run to take a 49-35 lead at the half before scoring the first eight points in the final period to take a 57-35 lead.

Fulks joined former Ragin' Cajuns guards Elfrid Payton and Marcus Stroman in producing double-doubles with the point guard becoming the first player since Stroman in 2019 to dish out 10-plus assists.

Ten of Louisiana's 11 players reached the scoring column with Lewis scoring nine points in 18 minutes of play. Vinny Sigona paced Louisiana's bench players with five points while Richards blocked three shots.

Bailey Hardy led LCU with 14 points with Delor Johnson adding 12. The Wildcats finished 28-for-77 (36.4 percent) from the floor and was 2-for-23 (8.7 percent) from behind the 3-point line.

Louisiana begins a stretch of eight of its next 10 games on the road beginning on Thursday when it travels to Lake Charles to face McNeese at the Legacy Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the game will be streamed live on ESPN+.
