He has to go while he is young as the RB life span in the league is like 3 years on average… if you are good you might last 10.

Now if you leave school (i.e. stop attending classes) to “prep for draft” would you be eligible or not and if your scholarship is given to an early enrollee or transfer in, not sure about return.

I have to imagine that declaring for the draft means he isn't playing in the bowl. Wouldn't want to ruin it by possibly getting a significant injury in his last game.
