About noon today I saw a university police cruiser parked at the fountain in front of Marin Hall circle on university Ave. There was a guy sitting in the fountain looking like he was taking a bath. I dunno.

You get to see all kinds of things living around campus. Many years ago there was a guy we called "crazy Jim". He messed up his brain with drugs while in Viet Nam. He would walk down the street yelling at the top of his lungs stuff like " the B52's are going to bomb the hell out of us, or they coming to nape us or charlie is coming to wipe us out". Poor fella was really messed up. One day I am out in my yard and there are police cars, ambulance's, sheriff deputies around everywhere. My neighbor comes over to tell me "crazy Jim is at the burger king at the corner of St Mary and Johnston street with a pistol to his head". I thought "well today is the day". They eventually disarmed him and found the pistol had no ammunition. We didn't see crazy Jim anymore after that. I guess he wound up in a padded room wearing a hospital gown and some fuzzy slippers.
