Doesn't look like many ticket were sold on our side of the bowl. I know, shocker. Plenty of good seats still available.
I have an announcement to make. For the first time since the Nov. 2019 (the ULM missed FG game where we went 10-2 and final kick landed next to me….), I will be going to the Cajuns game…
I just hope my luck holds out. Haven’t been to a bowl game since Tulane 2013.
Has there been an all out marketing campaign by UL to hype the game, sell as many tickets as possible? Doubt it given their track record lately. Nothing that I am aware about a fan bus trip, etc...High temp Friday according to weather channel, 39 degrees, that should peek interest of our hardy fan base. Can anyone say NO Bowl lol.
Have you not seen the latest UL promotion? 39 degrees? No problem, each fan who dresses like they're hunting duck, geese, deer, or turkey will be given a vouchur for a free stadium hot dog and beer at the game. The thinking behind this is that marketing knows folks would rather sit in a stand or blind for 3 or 4 hours in such weather instead of attending a UL football game in the same weather. Brilliant!
Yes, there is a bus going. 1 bus. Not promoted. Called since last Monday inquiring. They took my name and will have a bus. I don't believe they really want it. But enough people bugged them about it, they caved. If they would promote, they could get 4 or 5 busses. Too much work. Just my opinion.
Looks like an artic Siberian blast coming that day. Hopefully it changes as a lot can change in a 11 day forecast. History shows it’s always cold and rainy for the Indy Bowl. looks Like tickets are selling nicely now. Should have a decent crowd if the snow, sleet, rain holds out. Either way I’ll be there with my crew.
