He's very similar to the Waites kid we signed when Napier was here. Big athletic kid that also plays basketball. He visited Arkansas for the LSU game, so programs are looking at him. He's big, athletic and raw. He played at a small school as well. We have to sign athletes like this because if they are ready to play with that size and athletic, they sign with P5s.

Your post wasn’t seen by myself before my post. I’m excited and hopefully it all works out great.

It has been well established that since free transfer and NIL have been implemented, we will need to recruit developmental players (athletes) and develop them in order to have the types of players that we lost in the portal this season. If we are lucky and develop them, we will have them for one season, maybe 2 then they will be gone. We may pick up decent players ready to play that lack size but once they show that they play bigger than they are, they are gone also.

It will continue to be tuff for the G5 but the only consolation is that it will be tuff for all of them.

Des will need to be judged under this reality as opposed to the reality that was there when Napier was here . . . no NIL and free transfer then.

4.0 GPA, and great size. Never know what few years can do. Seems like he's worth the risk.
