Also is an extreme hot head and I am constantly waiting for the technical. You can see how much the other players have to hold him back and get him to run up the court without talking to the refs.

He really does need to learn some discipline if he wants to get better. I like his passion but it needs to be better funneled.

here is a tidbit on tony from wiki, "Tony Harris scored 105 points in a game on October 10, 1992, in the Philippine Basketball Association, against Ginebra in a game that was played in Iloilo City. To this day his record still stands.[1] Fans gave him the moniker "Hurricane" in the Philippine Basketball Association>"
I remember that play. Tony Harris was faster with the ball than most people were without it.

Had a particularly volatile, expletive-filled conversation with him after that game (he was going to do a radio interview in front of us). Even by the standards of the 70s and 80s, how I didn't get arrested is beyond me.

I personally think Tony Harris was the best talent we ever saw in Lafayette.

Eff him....for old time's sake. And because Turbine won't us cuss.

Richards tweeted over the weekend that he has to be better. Glad to see he recognizes that. One item overlooked from the weekend is the absence of Joe Charles at UNO. Although not a traditional big, he helps our inside defense with his quickness. He is very good when he and an another can double when an opposing big catches the ball in the post. Hopefully he will be back Saturday. I understand there is optimism he will be.

On the subject of lack of front court depth I still find it odd that we have someone with the size Ratliff has redshirting. I really wish they would change the rule to something similar to football to where you could play in a set number of games and still keep the redshirt. In a situation like the game Saturday with Charles out and then 2 other bigs in foul trouble he could have had the opportunity to contribute without losing the year of eligibility.

The reason for that is because Kobe Julien is 6’6 215 and kyren ratliff is 6’8 205. If I am going to expect one to be better than the other it is Kobe. We are re trying to ride the storm until Kobe is healthy. Why waste a redshirt on a kid that once kobe is healthy Ratliff will not play.

You are betting on one or the other and long term the better option is Ratliff redshirting and Kobe playing this season.

He sat out a semester for grades and then missed a game early this year due to some issues. At this point, he cannot be relied on.

I agree since with the portal, you can't really assume guys will be here for 4 years plus

It's college basketball with the portal. Why are you planning on long term options? Especially with a potential lame duck coach?

Question is, do we really expect him to be here for 4 years?
