Hey Bobby got it done. Lol.
Spent many nights watching uno at the chamber of horrors. Actually played some intumural basketball there as well.
”The win for Louisiana was its 10th straight over its former Sun Belt Conference rival and 27th in the last 32 games.”
Apparently Bob knows how to beat the scum bag pirates. I didn’t realize how dominant we’ve gotten against them. Can’t happen too often. My hate goes to the before we ever played them. They were ranked #1 playing nobody. They had to come to Lafayette. They played that no talent slo down ball without a shot clock. We got a close win, the next day Zombie LoTech blew them away while we beat Tennessee somebody
UNO board. Weak. Most checked out to watch Tulane. Can hop around to a UNO football thread.

That’s a refreshing link. Thanks
Beating them 10 straight is nice considering they play well against us there. I am old enough to remember their fans being proud of having the all time series lead against us. Athletics can go in cycles. One day the Privateers will beat the Cajuns again in basketball. You play an opponent enough times and there comes a time when you are off and they are in sync regardless of talent and resource differential. Just like ULM having their night in football this year. When UNO does have a good day against us, I guarantee many if not most who participate here will demand a coaching change unless we have a first year guy. Now that would probably be the case in most fan bases. That coach criticized may not be Coach Marlin as indications are Privateers are reluctant to continue the series for now. By the way, listening to comments from some of their fans at the game, they would like a coaching change in New Orleans.
That was one of most unique games I have ever attended. May have set a record for non coach technicals. Officials had trouble controlling game from the start. Pretty wild affair. Good to win when we did not play our best. Just like I said on the podcast, it will always be tough there regardless of team abilities. Has been that way since the 80’s. Game did show we miss Joe Charles. He is our best defensive player in many ways, has a high basketball IQ, and can knock down tough shots. Hopefully he can avoid the injury bug that seems to have gotten him going forward.
I remember UNO beat us quite often when Ledell Eackles on the team.
According to Coach Lee, McCalleb
wanted to play for UL, but Jesse had eyes for some California kid who never came. Meanwhile McCalleb went on to become SBC all time scoring leader.
Also was there a Toni (maybe) Morrison who killed us for at least four years. Maybe six. Small fwd type. Couldn’t wait for him to graduate.
