I understand the logic but at this point I consider anything Kobe can contribute this season lagniappe. I have also always considered him a 3. Agree with others that in the time of the new transfer rules (still don’t get why “the portal” gets the blame, it has been around for 10+ years now) the majority of kids are not going to be with a program for 4 years, let alone 5. I just don’t see the value in a redshirt compared to 5 years ago for that reason.
