Cajuns lose. I think, three of the last five points SDSU scored were because the Cajuns hit two serves into the net and one out of bounds. When the match was on the line, they made three fatal mistakes. That just cannot happen if a team wants to advance. Other than that, the teams seemed to be evenly matched.
Service errors twice when you have the ball and can take the lead. Rough way to end it.
In a match where neither team led by more than six points at any moment, and there were 28 ties and 11 lead changes, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Volleyball team fell just short in its final push to overtake South Dakota State as the Jackrabbits held on for a 3-2 (25-19, 19-25, 23-25, 25-20, 16-14) in the opening round of the National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC) at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.
If the ball is not hit into the net, or, hit out, at least the team still has a chance to score a point. When one of those two things happen, the point is over.
I would think the difficulty would be more akin to a batter not chasing bad pitches . . . even a marginal player can develop the skill of making a free throw with sufficient practice . . .
