Want to know another issue with attendance? There's a whole lot of hype about our fake vball postseason berth (not taking away from a good season) and we know our "pet of the month" from a business owner who seems to be extremely buddy buddy with our AD, yet not a single social media post about bowl tickets and possibilities or anything.

    Dear James,

Thanks to the hard work of Coach Hudspeth, his staff and players, your Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns are now bowl eligible for the fourth consecutive year! This is a phenomenal achievement and your support played a big part in their success.

I want to spend a few moments regarding the 2014 bowl selection process. Under the current bowl agreements in place with the Sun Belt Conference, the Ragin' Cajuns will be considered for three bowls:

R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl - New Orleans on December 20th
Raycom Camellia Bowl - Mongomery, AL on December 20th
GoDaddy Bowl - Mobile, AL on January 4th

Because of the new College Football Playoff system, we may be in consideration for additional bowls. The highest ranked champion from the "Group of Five" conferences is guaranteed a spot in one of three bowls that take place on either December 31st or January 1st. Therefore, if the Ragin' Cajuns win the Sun Belt title, we would be considered for the Goodyear Cotton Bowl, the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl or the Vizio Fiesta Bowl by the Football Selection Committee.

Due to this new football playoff format, teams (including the Cajuns) in consideration for these bowls may not receive nor accept an invitation from another bowl until December 7th.

However, with the short time frame between the bowl announcements and the New Orleans Bowl, the UL Ticket Office is now accepting ticket applications for the New Orleans Bowl.

Online ticket order forms are available at RaginCajuns.com. In the event that the Ragin' Cajuns accept a bid to another bowl, these orders will be voided and fans will then need to place a separate order for that particular bowl through the UL Ticket Office.

Bowl seating priority and location will be based on the following:

    RCAF 2014 Annual Fund donation

    2014 Football Season Ticket holders
Current UL students on a first-come, first-serve basis in the Bowl "Red Zone"
    Alumni Association members
    General public on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The priority deadline for RCAF Annual Fund donors is Friday, December 5th at 6 p.m. Seating priority and locations will be based upon the your Annual Fund contributions on that date.

Why UL fans should purchase bowl tickets through our ticket office:

Best Seats available - our Ticket Office will sell the best tickets available, guaranteeing seating with fellow Ragin' Cajuns fans.

Builds upon our Bowl history - bowl organizations look at how well our fans travel to bowl games.

Covers Bowl expenses - revenue generated through ticket sold directly by the University is used to offset Bowl game expenses.

The fan support at each of the last three bowl games has been incredible - you set a new R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl attendance record each year. There is no doubt in my mind that the home field advantage that you created in the Superdome helped win all three bowl championships. Now that UL is bowl eligible again, we want to give our fans every chance to experience a bowl game and create another unbelievable home field advantage for a fourth straight year.

Thank you for your continued support of Ragin' Cajuns Athletics!

Louisiana Athletics has little to no transparency or communication with fans anymore. It’s no wonder excitement and attendance has suffered. I am glad you posted the difference in the previous athletic regime. It’s like this current athletic administration is being passive aggressive towards fans and Martin Hall.

It’s no longer “a great day to be a Ragin’ Cajun”!

Well, to be fair, you would have to go to games to know about that.

Well this year they will probably find out tomorrow and you can get your deposit in before Dec 5.

This is just looking to be a complaintant . . .

Is it? Casual fans have moved on. They have no idea that we are going to a bowl game. Maybe it's just you looking to be a douche.
