This is what could be called putting a blind eye on the subject . . .

Covid made people comfortable with staying home, two years' worth.

The ticket drive needed to be the biggest in school history by a factor of ten.

No tickets in hand . no drive to attend.

And, there will always be a 16-18K pool of undergrads to entice, every year. Improving student attendance is all on our administration. They need to get creative and make attending X number of games provides something desirable in return. Maybe discounts in the red zone for 1 year if attended x number of games. Discounted concessions in the 4th quarter.hell we should do that in the whole stadium! Need to do something.
I agree completely that the student issue needs to be addressed. In fact, repairing that relationship needs to be the No. 1 priority going forward. That opinion has been communicated to the new RCAF director and he is receptive to the idea that area needs to be a focus. Easy steps are not to police them for minor stuff, give them good seats from the first game onward, and put signs up on campus announcing each and every upcoming game. Surprisingly, the student basketball attendance has improved this season and 2 of the 3 games have not been vs strong opponents. Much of that is due to the basketball players themselves doing promotional work on campus. Football players can do the same in the summer semester and next season.

How does any of this surprise anyone.it needs to fixed, but does anyone at UL care? Other than the FB teams performance, is there anything Ragin or Cajun about a game at CF?

For every problem there is always a solution.

Make the solution a positive experience.

It looks increasingly more and more like the answer to does anywhere care is no. There is one simple way to find out what has driven people away, whether it be factors like Covid or gameday experience issues.

We all know people at this point who have stopped attending games, stopped donating, or drastically slashed donations. The university and RCAF still have these peoples' numbers. That is what leads me to believe no one cares. It's been pointed out here a number of times by those who stopped giving: no one ever called them to ask why. We have the contact information for past donors at our fingertips, and we're either too lazy or too scared to call.

There also needs to be a game to game walk up ticket push. Don't stop at the season tickets. We generally do OK in Game 1, homecoming, and if there happens to be a big game as far as the record goes. Those other three games we generally struggle. The military appreciation game day support has been disappointing in recent years. Find out why that is as well as the youth day turnout. I would work with the youth organizations in town to minimize soccer/other youth sports on those days. Have all that end by three PM for five Saturdays. Push more for Sunday activities on those weekends. Lots of things can be done but the season ticket push is only part of it. You need to work throughout the season to increase support. Of course the team can't have three game losing streaks in September for that to be effective. Maybe the end of the year improvement on offense continues into next season

I hope the administration doesn't get a false sense of accomplishment due to diamond sports attendance. They should be in the top 10-15 again this year.

Its going to take a multi-faceted campaign next year to bolster attendance, adapting alot of suggestion made here. A real all out commitment by administration. Hope so. We'll see.
