We have played nobody. I'm not sure how anyone can possibly think that. And I didn't even list the losses of these teams. There are a few doozies...
La Tech has also beaten Samford, favored to win their league. We play them soon. Harvard lost a close game to Fordham today. No doubt Drake is best team we have played. Hopefully this game helps prepares team for conference play. Having watched almost every second of all the games so far, the encouraging thing is the team keeps fighting and playing hard regardless of the circumstances. Room for improvement comes in minimizing damage that occurs in a lull almost every game. You are going to hit a cold spell almost every game but you can’t let that affect your defense. Generally that does not last too long when it does but it was a problem yesterday. That was not due to effort but getting caught in bad defensive position from poor execution on offense.
You didn’t watch the game. You can’t comment. But seriously as bad as we shot from 3 in the first half and for most of the game really, it was the refs who dictated the flow of the game. They made some pretty tough calls going in drakes favor. I believe they were in the double bonus with 10 plus minutes left in the second half and we never hit the bonus. I think drake played a better game and overall were the better more polished team. In no way did they slap us around. A good team would have slapped us around by 40
. The Non D1 team traveling usually does not have the game count officially. The reason it counts for the home team is to punish it in case of a loss. Although rare, it does happen. Loyola has played Southern Miss and Southeastern Louisiana. In both cases, games were close until late in first half. Not surprisingly, those contests got away from Wolfpack in second half and they lost by over 20. They will be a better test than Centenary was on opening night as evidenced by their strong first half play vs USM and SLU.
