I couldnt help but notice when they played Tulane in football that their jerseys read “dallas”, is that their official branding? what did ESPN refer to them as?

Lots of colleges are doing that in fact SLU did it for the southland baseball championship vs McNeese. They had uniforms that read Hammond.

I’m viewing the SMU game as an opportunity for this year’s team. Them and Drake are two worthy opponents that we need to defeat.

GEAUX Louisiana corral the Mustangs of DALLAS.

Dallas & Houston are both metropolitan areas with almost triple the population of Louisiana. I’m not worried about SMU wanting the recognition. Similar to UCLA.

Hammond America was an advertising promotion between SLU and the parish tourism group. It’s also the name of a youth baseball complex in Hammond.

I wonder if “Hammond America” paid for their baseball uniforms?

Think the game was in the RGLP Methroplex. Home court advantage.
