The clock and seemingly arbitrary stoppage time by the ref is the dumbest thing about soccer. Also, the team with the lead stalls as much as they can.

9 minutes of stoppage with no goals, no send offs, no major injuries is an absolute joke. And this isn’t the only match that had 9 minutes.

It’s the one thing about soccer that could change and most would be happy. Running clock, allow 3 stoppages for injuries each half, 4th (and any subsequent ones) soft yellow on team captain. Cut out a lot of the theatrical “injuries”. Like the Iran player screaming like he was in labor was pathetic.

France levels against Tunisia at 1 at 97:50 mark 90+8 minutes stoppage only to have VR make offside call. France had already locked up first place in bracket, possibly avoids Messi and Argentina in next round. France protected their players carrying yellow cards, smart move.

Thats futbol talk. That’s why the average dumb American can’t understand the sport.

Example: you have a clock but it doesn’t stop but it also doesn’t end. Wtf!! Haha

Watching the two group C games. Mexico’s second goal a thing of beauty, free kick from ~ 30 yards to upper right 90. Up 2-0 on Saudi Arabia. Argentina up same on Poland.

This bracket is so tight Poland would advance over Mexico on the third tie breaker, “fair play points” presently 4-7 (team with least cards in tournament).

“Drawing of lots” is next and last tiebreaker.

Mexico gives up a goal in the 95th to definitively kill their chance to advance.

Argentina (Australia) and Poland (France) advance to the knockout round.

The added penalty time to some of these matches have been ridiculously excessive.
