Not sure if anyone else is in the same boat, but recruiting especially in this climate of social media, live commitment presentations, NIL is so theatrical that it's painful to try and follow. Not that decommitments didn't happen before, but it wasn't so in your face and fluid as it is now.
Signing day is kind of exciting, but everything building up to that is just a show.
Imagine having to suck up to these primadonnas for your livelihood. I don't understand how some coaches like recruiting.
T said early on this was a huge signing for the Cajuns. And at the top of the 247 list of potential landing spots was Jackson St. That's where I think he ends up.
That said, the young man decommitted from UL. So why not chit-can this thread?
Look what NIL did to aTm. I think aTm brought in a bunch of primadonnas and Jimbo couldn't handle the egos in the room and they didn't jel as a team. It will be interesting to see if any of these kids hit the portal in the off season. Whether for the team sucks or lack of playing time. I think, playing time is going to be an issue. There re only 11 players a side. 44 players on each team each game are going to be playing regularly. Some of these kids will be getting splinters on the back side.
When is NSD in December?
It is my sincere hope that, one day, a large group of schools will break away from the NCAA, and the rest of us remain in the NCAA under the former rules, before NIL.
I fully support collegiate, scholarship athletics.
Ma!!!!!!!We suck again................
