Rough night for SBC basketball

ODU got a nice win over Furman.

Georgia state lost by 1 to EKU.

App lost to Campbell

Troy lost to st Thomas (MN)

Georgia southern lost to rice.

USM got a nice win over liberty.

Coastal lost to USC-upstate

USA played very well but lost to OU 64-60. USA is going to be a tough out in this league along with JMU.

And who the hell is st Thomas (Minnesota) I also saw the attendance for that game was 250

I watched the last 4 minutes of Liberty USM. There were only 3500 or so fans but packed into a 4000 seat venue so it looked jammed. I thought there was double that. Plus it was loud. Right sizing venues can do that for you.

I posted it in the other basketball thread but watched JMU play UNC this morning and they will be very tough once they get healthy. They had two of their better players out with injury and their top two players who played had horrible games. All that said, they were tough and deep and I saw some good things from them, especially if they are hitting some outside shots. They are second in the country in points scored per game for a reason.

St Thomas is the D3 school that was “involuntarily removed” from their conference because they won too much. The other schools kicked them out because they couldn’t beat St Thomas. They applied and were granted a waiver to jump straight to D1 beginning last year.
