Scanning though radio stations in the car just now and came upon 103.7 talking Cajuns with Cory from the advertiser. The sentiment on that interview was to get your pay check and get out of there with no injuries. No exaggeration.

Get the hell out of here with that garbage mindset. We're not great and neither are App, Georgia Southern and Marshall who I'm sure all had that mentality when they took both their check and a win home.

103.7 begrudging covers the Cajuns to fill in the time between talking about the east, Astros and Saints. That type of small minded approach to covering the hometown team just burns me up.

We may very well get stomped tomorrow, but I hope 103.7 and our own beat writer forgive the coaches and players for trying to win the game. We've beaten better teams.

I think the defense can hang, but they can't be out there for long drives then we go 3 and out. When we have the ball, we have to be effective. We've won big games in the past with defense making plays and giving the offense a shot. They have to take advantage.

Run the ball with some effectiveness, keep possession and score when there's an opportunity. Maybe you hit a receiver over the top a time or two. Pair that with good special teams and you may have a W. That's how we beat Iowa State.
