Speaking of basketball promotions. Who set the price point for this promotion? Season tickets are only $100, and we are selling 5 game packs for $70. That’s $14 a ticket. How much is a normal single game ticket?
I called the box office. $13 is the cheapest ticket, so we run a bundle promotion where we charge $1 more per ticket than the cheapest ticket available. Granted the bundle tickets are in 119 (the corner) as opposed to the sections behind the baseline where the cheapest seats are. This promotion still makes little to no sense to me. Sorry for hijacking M$M's thread, but just on the subject of basketball and promotions in general, I can't wrap my head around the way we do "business."

Last week we started our promotional push for a Thursday game on Tuesday. Today would be the day if it’s gonna happen. I’ll bet someone here a $78 dome foam that last week was just a calm the natives week, and we do a whole bunch of nothing this week.

Seriously? This is the push to get people to the game?

LOL. I got a few cans of snap beans in the pantry, so guess I should go to the basketball game.
    Yeah, that'll do it.
I think the nice start should bring a couple thousand people back that have been on the sidelines the last few years. I expect a nice crowd of around 5k

I think you are on to something . . . surely everyone has a can or two of something that they really need to gift forward and what better of an opportunity to do so . . . 5,000 it is

We could've done: bring a canned food item and get a half price ticket. Oh well. My theory is the admins see hard times ahead, and the canned foods are actually for the athletic department and not a local charity. JK...kinda

I'm just tired of complaining. I've been to Louisville riverbats games that had better promotions. Seems like everyone (esp on the basketball side) is just going through the motions. It's why I'm no longer passionate about basketball. I hate LaTech so if they win yeah. But if they lose to the turds then same old same old

After watching the Tech VS TT game last night, I would say that a loss to Tech is certainly possible. The play hard and don't give up. The Cajuns have the advantage that Tech is traveling today and driving down on Thursday. This will be a big test for the Cajuns and a win would be great, and not just because we hate Tech. I wish I were going to be there, but we are going out of town for the weekend. I predict the Cajuns win a tight game 75-71.

If 5K people (actual people - not Social Club counting people) show up to the dome for this basketball game, RR will buy season tickets.

    There's your promotion.
